There are so many quirky things I love about Andrew, I thought I would share some of them.
#1. He is really handy.
Our apartments complex is famous for having valuable stuff left near the dumpster by people who are moving out. Although there are great things to be found, I feel we have had our fair share of dumpster treasures and it is someone else's turn to benefit from them (in other words, I am tired of bringing home more junk to fill our already small apartment). The other day Andrew comes walking home with his arms full of wood and a big smile on his face. He was obviously thrilled with the discovery, but I ,on the other hand, was not so thrilled. He reassured me that I would be happy with it when he was done, so I trusted him. That day he went to work and 2 days later I had a handy can rotator!
He got on the computer and designed it and built it in 2 days! I was so impressed! Now I only wish I had a bigger pantry so he could build me more.
#2. He is always thinking!
A couple of weeks ago Andrew decided to try putting our camera lens on backwards to take some pictures, and here is the result:
this one is of a spider that was sitting on our window sill.

It is so funny to watch him taking pictures of all these obscure things while trying to hold the lens backwards on the camera. The other day I was outside our front door playing with the kids and he comes walking out with his camera and asks if he could take a picture of my cheek. As his camera was millimeters away from my face I thought, "I wonder if anyone is watching us from their window right now?" I can only imagine what they would think if they saw us. Oh well. The cheek pictures actually turned out pretty good, but unfortunately they got erased so I can't post them.
#3. He always makes me smile.
You all know the workout program infomercials where they have the before and after pictures of people that go from "drab" to "fab!"
This is one example, but not a very good one. For the after picture imagine this guy on a beach with a spray on tan.
One night Andrew and I were looking at some of those super cheesy pictures. Andrew thought they were so fake and just a result of the direction of lighting and exposure that he was going to take some before and after pictures just to prove how fake they really were. So he set up the tripod and took some before pictures with his gut hanging out and a melancholy look on his face. Then he went and worked out and took after pictures. The two pictures were only taken 30 minutes apart and I was amazed at the difference! All he needed was a nice tan and a beach background and he would be all set.

Andrew was really embarrassed about me posting these pictures, but I talked him into it anyway. For documentation purposes :)
This is the "before" picture
Big difference, huh? I especially like the farmer's tan!Andrew is always doing things to prove his theories, but this one was probably my favorite!
Well, those are a few, but not all, of the reasons that I love Andrew!
